Smart camera system solution for construction projects

Offer security with a touch of innovation

In homes, security cameras play a dual role. Their primary purpose is to secure the home from potential threats such as theft, and they can help resolve any confusion in the event of unexpected events. On the other hand, they allow us to stay in touch with our loved ones, whether it's keeping an eye on our pets or making sure our grandparents are safe.

Smart features and connectivity with home sensors

Thanks to advanced image recognition algorithms , high resolution and smart functions, smart camera systems offer a unique opportunity for effective monitoring, management and security of designed buildings in real time.

By combining it with local sensors, such as those for motion detection, weather monitoring, or integration with other smart home systems, it is possible to set up various automations . A motion sensor can detect movement or activity at a door, window, or garden and then display a camera image.

- motion detection and tracking
- face recognition
- night vision
- sound detection and two-way communication
- continuous recording 24/7
- object detection (person, animal, car)

Pre-preparation and cable ready

When designing the project documentation, it is wise to consider the type and location of security cameras. Even if you do not plan to install security cameras immediately at the current state of the project, preliminary preparation is recommended - that is, laying the wiring and preparatory elements for a possible future installation.

Such preparation can make it much easier and cheaper to add cameras later. It is possible that in the future, due to changing security conditions or tenant requirements, you will want to supplement your security system. In that case, you will appreciate having everything ready for a quick and efficient installation.

Camera systems and PoE technology

Camera systems are increasingly integrated into home internet wiring. In many cases, they use PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology, which allows power to be transmitted along with data to devices over a standard Ethernet cable (usually Category 5 or higher), eliminating the need for a separate power cable.

Smart outdoor cameras

Smart outdoor cameras are designed to monitor the surroundings of a building, providing visual surveillance of entrances, yards, parking lots, or other outdoor areas.

Location : Optimal camera placement will ensure a wide and clear viewing angle. Cameras should be positioned to cover all major access routes to the building, the parking lot, and other strategic locations.

Height : To ensure optimal coverage while protecting against vandalism, cameras should be installed at a height that is not easily accessible but still provides a clear viewing angle.

Weatherproof : Our outdoor devices are resistant to water, dust and extreme temperatures.

Alternative - Wireless Battery Cameras

Among the available tools, you will find wireless cameras with WiFi connection that you can easily place anywhere, thanks to their built-in battery . This device can work for several days without recharging.

If you want to monitor activity in a specific area of your garden, simply place this compact camera in the desired location. Without any cables, it will give you a view of everything that is happening there for up to six days - all without the need for wiring . It is a completely autonomous solution for your surveillance needs.

Centralized data storage on NVR

A network video recorder (NVR) is an essential part of modern security camera systems. It is designed to process video footage from IP cameras, store it on hard drives, and enable remote access to that footage.

Centralized storage : The NVR allows centralized storage of recordings from multiple cameras in one location, simplifying data management and access.

High recording quality : With support for IP cameras, the NVR can record video in high definition (HD and above) without losing quality.

Flexibility : System scalability is one of the key benefits of an NVR. It allows you to easily add more cameras to the network as needed.

*It is important to choose the right NVR model considering the number of cameras, storage capacity required, and specific project needs.

What should you pay attention to when planning a camera system for a project?

❗When designing cable networks, keep in mind that the cable can be in the wall for 50 years. Choose a cable that meets today's requirements and ensures high speeds in the future.

❗The cable connection should be pre-prepared at the corners of the house or roof, where cameras are usually placed.

❗Due to noise, the data storage for camera recordings, NVR, should be located in the technical room.

❗When planning a project, it is necessary to determine in advance which devices will be powered via PoE and which will need a separate outlet.

NVR Technology room and network typology

It is important that the network topology is designed to take into account future technological requirements and ensure stable and fast connections in all parts of the house.

Typically, the main Internet connection is received from the telecommunications operator, which is terminated in a technical room, for example in the garage. From there, the cables are distributed to the individual rooms of the house in the form of a star connection structure. In the technical room, a rack with a switch is located, which redistributes the Internet signal to the individual rooms.

The goal of room separation is to minimize noise generated by devices such as NVRs, switches, and routers that require active cooling.
